Summer Work

At Wood Berry Farm we could not possibly harvest our fruit without excellent fruit pickers. Each year the farm employs a team of international student seasonal workers, who spend their summer vacations gaining experience and helping us to harvest and pack the fruit. We may have as many as five nationalities on site at any one time. Students at Wood Farm live in fully equipped self-catering mobile homes. The facilities include, television, bicycles, barbecue facilities. Visits can be made to the local area as required. If you would like to work at Wood Farm please realise that work cannot be guaranteed and that you will be employed only as a seasonal casual worker.

EU Students Contact

If you would like to find out about working on the farm contact Peter at PeterDickie@aol.com. Outline when you will be available to work and some details about yourself; for instance your education and where you live etc. Peter will contact you and answer any questions you have.

Students from Commonwealth Countries

Contact the British Embassy/Consulate in your own country to obtain a Working Holiday Work Permit and ensure you understand what regulations exist for working in the UK before you arrive. If you do arrive at Wood Farm without suitable documentation we will not be able to employ you.

Students from Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Russian Republics

You must have a Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme permit. In our case these are issued by Concordia which has a very good website, www.concordiafarms.org. We suggest that you contact your local Concordia agent or your university for information
